The still-in-progress documentary (1 hr 45min) created by the Queer Ecojustice Project (QueerEcoproject.org) features Queer, trans and Two-Spirit communities of color in Puerto Rico and Northern California, in their own words, describing ways in which they are navigating disasters associated with climate change, systemic racism and colonial oppressions, transmisia and homophobia, disaster capitalism, and other forms of economic and social injustice.  Of special note in the film are stories about mutual aid and strength within QTPOC communities, and of well-meaning people from outside of the community who seek to" help" and ultimately make things worse for everyone but themselves.

The watch-on-your-own-at-home film screening will begin on Friday June 26 at 315pm ET and people can follow the conversation on Twitter by following @NrsgMutualAid and using the hashtag #CuirResilienceNurseChat.

The bilingual discussion of the film will then begin at 5pm ET using the same hashtag. You can also watch the film at any time prior to the Twitter discussion.
