How Can I Engage?
How can I participate in Mutual Aid?
There are many ways to participate in mutual aid. Here are 3:
Click on the “Mutual Aid Resources” tab of the website to learn about what mutual aid means, & view a list of opportunities to give or receive support or resources.
Share news about mutual aid happening in your part of the world on Twitter by tagging your post with the hashtag: #NMA2020
You can also submit your own mutual aid needs, opportunities, or resources by adding to the Google Doc on the “Mutual Aid Resources” page.
2. How can I participate in the Twitter conference?
Nursing Mutual Aid 2020 is also a Twitter conference - a virtual platform for fostering connections & sharing nursing knowledge.
This virtual event will be held via Twitter (www.twitter.com) on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
Anyone can participate in this event by logging onto Twitter & following the conference handle (@NrsgMutualAid) & the hashtag (#NMA2020). Presentations will be shared via Tweets, which are public.
Potentially eligible presenters include any nurse or scholar of nursing, anywhere in the world, with a poster, podium, or plenary talk that was previously-accepted (via peer review) for a conference or event now canceled by Covid-19. For more information on how to become a presenter, or to submit an abstract for presentation, please click here. [ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS NOW CLOSED]
In light of the rapidly evolving situation related to Covid-19, NMA2020 has also decided to expand to include presentations to include submissions that were NOT previously accepted for presentation, and that reflect current and evolving knowledge related to nursing the community in the context of this pandemic. For more information on how to become a presenter, or to submit an abstract for presentation, please click here.
For instructions & tutorials on how to participate in the Twitter Conference, including how to use Twitter, or how to make your Tweets more accessible, see “Info For Presenters” , & “Twitter Tutorials” pages on this website.
